Azizi Life: international language of love

The We were blessed to be able to spend a day traveling to a remote village and live the life of the people there. We saw how they cultivated the land to grow the bananas, beans, sweet potato, and other roots and fruits. The earth under our feet was so rich and moist, your feet sinking into it with each step. The banana trees shaded us as we felt truly lost in another world.

We walked down steep clay trails, about ten minutes each way, to fetch water from a spring to cook and clean the food picked. Some as young as six or eight year were carrying babies on their backs and jugs of water on their heads.

Soft spoken, but welcoming, we worked alongside the beautiful and genuine Rwandan people. Before we shared a delicious meal a woman blessed the meal. While we could not understand her prayers, her God given gratitude, joy, and peace was so tangible.

It was written that Jesus's name would be made known throughout the world. In such a remote village, in a small country in Africa, His love brought us together and united us in this rural village. It was evident that that love brought so much joy, happiness, and peace into their daily lives.
By the end of the day we were dancing together, singing and clapping, celebrating the love that was so tangible between us all. Their smiles, soft glowing skin, and curious beautiful eyes stay with me.
